Personally I thing big screens offer a clearer picture compared to projectors. Not that I'm up-to-date on all the latest innovations in the projector biz but when I do see, usually sports, stuff on projectors at bars or homes or wherever, it's not as clear/crisp/sharp as tvs.

Lemme get two claps and a Ric Flair

The newest projectors, the HD ones are really sharp and clear, but they are still no match for the LEDs. Also projector bulbs burn out fast.

I also heard that you need a really dark room for the projector to work very well.

Yeah some of the newer ones with high enough lumens aren't terrible in decent lit rooms, but it depends on the placement of the lights too.

Good call. I have a Samsung LED, my dad a new'ish projector... The Samsung is 100% the way to go, it's not even close. His projector is in the basement, not very well lit at all, and it still just isn't close to as good.

What you do, is get another DirecTV set-top box, with a projector to blow up next to the TV where you can put the game mix on and have 4 games on the projector while watching the Champs on the Samsung.
