I'd expect them to get by Croatia but either Argentina or the Netherlands is capable of beating them. Prior to the Saudi Arabia game Argentina hadn't lost in 36 matches. They hadn't lost since summer 2019.

Off the top of my head I thought Argentina was on the other side of the bracket.

I believe Ghana was the youngest team at this World Cup, but their coach now says they're ready for liftoff.

While I will be stoked if the US gets to host COPA 2024 I am way more excited that it looks almost certain that we will get to play in it. Playing in COPA is critical as the US prepares for WC 2026. With the US, Canada, and Mexico not having to go through qualifying its really things like Gold Cup and Nations League are extra important. But those still have the level of intense competition you really need. And with Euros and Nations League in Europe its really really hard to get friendlies scheduled except during off season periods.

COPA 2024 would be insanely fun!

So Gabby who got hurt against Cameroon is going to miss a bunch of the rest of the EPL season. Had this same exact injury occurred during a normal summer WC he wouldn't have missed much EPL time at all. So sad. Plus that would have had the summer transfer window to make some changes. Yes they do have the January window next month but its not near the same as having the summer window. For one thing January transfers can really cost a pretty penny when you need to replace a key player. High demand and low supply.
