I'm expecting a high-scoring affair tonight, and I like our offense's chances of outslugging the Royals.

Does Hammel just throw a no hitter or is he my perfect one tonight.   :)  :D

I think BSL would crash if there was one.

Once again, either TB or Boston is guaranteed a loss tonight.

Need to take advantage of rag-arm Chen.  And if I were DD and Hammel doesn't have it tonight, I'd be thinking long and hard about making another move or two.

That rag-arm somehow has a 2.04 ERA.

But yeah, Hammel has to be successful tonight. He's facing a really horrible offensive team.

Yea, with a WHIP almost at 1.30

I'll believe he is a 2 ERA pitcher when I see it.

Haha touche. He does have some pretty terrible run support (but don't all Royals pitchers?).

This is a winnable game as long as Hammel gives us a decent start.

Gotta think also Hammel has a short leash tonight with a well-rested pen.

I think they will struggle vs Chen. These veteran left handed starters seem to always give them trouble. Hopefully Hammel gives up 3 runs or less and the O's get a win.

Chen is the kind of soft tossing lefty that will use the O's aggressiveness against them successfully. Still, with Hammel throwing a no hitter we should find a way to eek out a run or two and win.

I know McLouth's been starting more frequently against lefties.  Is this the first time he's remained in the leadoff spot against a lefty?

Lefties have actually been slightly better against Chen than righties for his career.  This year it's a dramatic split with lefties far better against him than righties.  He's one of the rare guys with reverse splits.

McClouth led off at least one of the games against Tex lefty. Maybe both of them.

Sounds to me like Urrutia should have been in the lineup again tonight with severe reverse splits. Valencia has pissed me off since his return anyway.

Actually you're right. McLouth led off against Feldman and Perez. I was looking at the series prior to the break.

Anyone else having issues with the new MLBtv format? I used to be able to log in before the game's listed start times but 2 days in a row it has given me an error message when I try to do that.
