Charley Taylor, who retired as the NFL’s all-time leading receiver. He was as good a person as he was a football player. One of the things I always liked about him was that when he scored a TD, he kneeled, said a quick prayer and then handed the ball to the ref. He liked to say that he wanted to pretend that he’d been there before. He was 80 years old.

He was there many times.

RIP former Dunbar and Terp star Larry Gibson.
Larry was one half of the Skip and Gip connection at Dunbar. Larry and Skip Wise were something to watch in HS.
I saw them destroy #1 DeMatha at the Civic Center. DeMatha had Adrian Dantley and Billy Langloh. It was not close.

Oscar-winning actor William Hurt, 71.
He had a number of good roles. I really liked him in Too Big To Fail.
Also The Big Chill.

Pretty sure he got clean and sober after long bouts with addiction. To beat that and to go down like this, ugh.

My favorite wrestler growing up, Scott Hall. 63. Complications from hip replacement surgery caused three heart attacks and the family is taking him off life support.

The "Bad Guy' was right in the middle of the Monday Night wars. It is very sad. He was often a panelist at Wrestle Mania, and he walked with a very noticeable limp. I guess he was trying to that right. He got clean about 10-12 years ago, from what he said.

Hey, yo.
If you ask me my favorite wrestler, it will alternate between Scott Hall and Curt "Mr. Perfect" Hennig on any given day. Love Scott Hall's line from his HOF speech: "Bad times don't last, but bad guys do."
RIP to the Bad Guy

Pretty sure it was DDP who got him straight. Page took him in an Hall lived with Page for a while. DDP seems like a pretty amazing guy.

It was Page who also helped Jake the Snake Roberts. Roberts said it his HOF speech that DDP saved his life twice.
