Damn, I thought everyone from the Honeymooners was long gone. I think we attended a play that Joyce Randolph was in. Maybe even at the Hippodrome.

Former MLB pitcher Don Gullett, 73. By the age of 25, he had more career wins than Hall of Fame lefthanders Andy Koufax, Whitey Ford and Warren Spahn. He was also the pitcher who served up both Willie Mays' 660th homerun (his last) as well as No. 660 to Hank Aaron.
Gullett was among the first class of baseball free agents in the winter of 1976-77, signing a big free agent contract with the Yankees. But shoulder injuries soon derailed his career and he was effectively finished after the 1978 season.

Ott was on that '79 Pirates team that beat the Orioles in the Series.
I still collected baseball cards back then, and Ott was one of those guys you'd find in about every other pack.
