Won't pretend they can't get past losing McGee, but he was a great fit for them.

Yea, I think they were more a great fit for him though. Their talent let him free lance-where he does best. Block shots, jam off follows, and role to the basket for close in shots. Teams switch and jump on GS jump shooters, which allowed McGee to roam free around the basket.
Decent defensive player who gambles too much, but again he kind of fits the way GS, plays D.

DeMarcus Cousins helps ease the pain.

There is baseball, and occasionally there are other things of note
"Now OPS sucks. Got it."
"Making his own olive brine is peak Mackus."
"I'm too hungover to watch a loss." - McNulty

Well the rich get richer. So much for him really wanting to play with John Wall.
Good move for Cousins, he can take his time getting healthy and then get a ring.
The NBA salary cap is a joke.

Seriously, this is ridiculous. Hard to blame Cousins though.

The Warriors struggled with a lack of size last year and lost McGee.
Cousins, when heathy, is a top 10 player or so in the league.
They just filled a need. Does this bother you guys that they filled a need in this way?

So, honest question here.

Cousins was available to others. He choose to be with the Warriors.
That doesn't bother me at all.
I'm more bothered by the idea that if you list out the top 30 or so players in the league.... the disparity to the West is huge.
Some of that is cyclical, but the tilt to the West has been huge for a long time now.

I also agree with you (Rob) that things could begin to change for the Warriors next Summer.
Watching Boston, Philly, and LA grow up this year will be interesting.
This year, maybe the Warriors can try for 75 regular season wins, and a perfect post-season lol.

I don't particularly enjoy seeing star players congregating on so few teams from a competitive balance standpoint, which is what I prefer as a fan. But honestly, I'm all for the players having the freedom to go where they want in free agency. And if they are willing to take less money than what their likely value is, what can you really do?
