Looks like the Carmelo Anthony experiment is over.
Yeah, he doesn't fit that well in this day and age, especially at this point in his career.

Yeah, he doesn't fit that well in this day and age, especially at this point in his career.
He could find a role on some team, if he was willing to embrace it. At this point I'd say about all he'd be good for is a scoring option on a team's second unit. His minutes would be limited to when both teams have mostly backups on the floor, and he's more likely to find a mismatch. Some nights if he has a hot hand he might see more meaningful minutes than that, other nights he might not see the floor at all. He's a role-player....and it would be a rather narrow role at that. He'd really have to swallow his pride to do it though. Not sure he has it in him.
EDIT: One team I could see him potentially finding a role, for the rest of this season at least, is with San Antonio.

Other than being banana boat buddies with LeBron, I see no reason whatsoever he'd fit with the Lakers.

He doesn't fit anywhere.
If he spent his prime playing like he did with the Olympic teams, he'd be looked at differently.
Now, he's not a great scorer and he's still not willing to play defense. You'd hope he'd commit to being a scorer off the bench, and willing to play some defense... but apparently not.
