He's throwing all fastballs....no command over anything else...

If he's going to go all fastballs allt het ime, I say, Tommy Hunter is a better suited closer than JJ now.

Nice!

Great series!

Not a confidence-inspiring outing from JJ, but everything else about tonight was pretty damn great.

JJ's still got issues. A save is a save, but he was pretty bad for a lot of the time tonight against a handful of weak hitters. Not going to inspire much confidence, but hey, it's a damn sweep of the Yankees.

Not much better than a sweep of the Yanks!

There are no 'great' teams.... O's as good as any.  Angelos dealt with a lot of losing (and certainly bears as much responsibility for the losing as anyone).... he didn't get where he is without some ego....   I feel like at-least part of him (and without being morbid, his age...) has to be thinking about doing everything necessary to go for it now.... but he will leave it to Buck and DD.

That's just reality, exactly what Illitch in Detroit was thinking.

Good point by Oral regarding Presley.

As much as everyone liked to blame Crow, not seeing everyone lauding Presley

He deserves a raise on CD alone.

And O85 graces us with his presence in the game thread, AFTER the game, per usual... I look forward to you quoting one of my posts at about 3 AM.

I think the role itself is overrated, but we all know once Tommy Hunter blows a save, people will want Jim Johnson back. In a perfect world, they would not be bind to a specific role, but this isn't that. Until Jim Johnson proves otherwise, I think he should stick in that role.

First look at Angelos in some time...

Noticed that as well, apparently he was on MASN last year during the Cal Legends Game at the end when Cal was celebrating the win. I could be wrong but I don't think he was credited there. Last time I recall seeing him was Game 5 when he told reporters that we'd be back and the Yanks should fear us.

A rare shot of PA in the suite... he must have orders for MASN not to show him.

I agree. I don't think that's a coincidence, he knows he's not the most popular person in Baltimore. I'm not sure how many games he actually goes to though. I've heard before some years he hasn't attended more than 10. In his early years owning the team (maybe still), he would show up late since he worked late hours at his law firm.

I think less Yankees fans speak English than random other languages. Fuck them and their fans.

Cano on the other hand? Beast!

When I was in Europe, I saw lots of Yankees hats and Red Sox ones to a lesser extent. Just by their nature, they have many casual fans.
