This completely destroys any hope the Ravens had of getting Flacco locked up reasonably in my opinion, as he has to consider himself the superior QB. I like Flacco, but if he is looking for 4y/60m or so I am not sure if it will be worth it to keep him.

Really surprised when I read this. What were the Jets thinking!? Definitely puts them out of the Manning sweepstakes.

And like you said, this makes signing Flacco to a team-friendly deal a lot more difficult.

What an awful deal if you are a Ravens fan...I wouldn't be surprised if the Ravens were close to locking up Flacco and now that the Jets did this, we have to start from square one in negotiations.
