Nick didn't really do that but Jones always does and Davis has been swinging wildly in this at bat thus far.

Was more directed at Jones, but Nick was swinging at almost everything. No patience at all there either.

Clippard is tough on lefties. Jones obviously is going to overswing. it's what he does best.

I'm trying to figure out just how good the SP would have to be to trade Jones this offseason.

Someday I'll learn not to get excited about an O's pitching prospect ... someday.

Patton sucks. Got lucky there.

Give it a break. Jones has been awesome the year.

Gausman reminds me of Arrieta. All the talent in the world but just not getting results. When Chris Davis and JJ Hardy hit the HR's to tie it and he started the bottom of the 4th with a walk I was just so disappointed to see another Orioles pitching prospect not have "it".

I'll say this again.I'd rather have a pitcher who needs to learn how to pitch out of the zone more than someone who can't throw strikes.

Now, saying that, Gausman's command has to get better. No two ways about it. I like the stuff and I don;t think he's a guy who's going to drive you crazy by beating himself like Arrieta. Still, obviously, needs to get much better.

It is just two starts, so I wouldn't give him that label quite yet.
