Looking at my prelim list, I get why it's hard, and there is so much debate. Include or exclude the steroid users? How much do you weigh defense and positional scarcity?
I see guys like Larry Walker, Rickey Henderson, Wade Boggs, Kevin Brown, and Tony Gwynn that I have to think long and hard about.
Spoiler alert, Jeter probably won't make my list.

About where they fall. Rickey is in my top 10, Boggs, I'm not sure. He brings more defensively than Gwynn does (although Gwynn was never poor) but Gwynn outhit him too. Very similar for me, and if I take one do I have to take them both?

Boggs had a WAR of about 25 higher than Gwynn...in only 500 more PA.
INF Defense. Just comes back to preference and personal criteria. Big difference between the top 20 WAR of our lifetime, and opinionated lists of top 20 players. I'm still stuck on if I hold the PEDs against people or not.
