Good time for Hammel to have his best start of the year.

Good time for him to remember his sinker is his best pitch.

Are you watching the game tonight?
That's my plan. I have work to do, so might as well.
You're going to tell me I'm not allowed cause I'm a jinx aren't you?

Haha, well I should tell you that...
But I'm actually interested in what you see from Hammel's 2S tonight. He's not throwing it as much, and it isn't as fast as last year... is it still as good a pitch though? I'm not seeing as much sink and movement on it, but I'm also not very good at recognizing that.

I watched a couple minutes of one of his starts earlier this year and I don't know that I saw it one time. Now that I'm on this pitch calling kick I want to see if it does extend to the other pitchers. I know I've seen it in Tillman (where he wasn't throwing his curve when he was ahead with 2 strikes), and I noticed in the numbers how backwards the rates were.
I know Pitch F/X mixes up 4S and 2S a bunch, so I wanna see it live and see how bad it is.
I just don't get why our pitchers are all throwing their best pitches the least right now.

I'll also be doing a writeup in the next day or two on this very topic. So look out for that.

Let's get some early runs...
There you go!
And Manny follows up with a double. Nice start, boys.

Manny! Machado follows the Nate homer to right, with a double to left.

It's getting to the point they are going to have to start playing McLouth vs lefties. He is just too hot.
