Yeah and that's why I respect his opinion a bit more than your typical analyst.I thought he said Top 10, but the the point was/is the same. Dykes also said he used to be an NBA Scout. Talked about Len's ability as a pick-and-pop player at the next level.
Terps up 27-21 with 4:20 left in the 1st.

I don't think another year in the ACC helps him appreciably more than the D-league or daily coaching with no time restrictions at the end of an NBA roster would help him. And it definitely doesn't pay as well.
He's certainly not ready to be an impact player in the NBA right now, but that's not the question that the NBA draft is asking.
I'd love to see some numbers on it, but I don't think the D-league has helped many if ANY players go from not ready to good NBA player. I think it's good for the fringe guys and the 10-day contract guys, but I don't see many players actually developing.
I look at all these other players with similar or better abilities than him in recent years that were garbage in the NBA. It takes a VERY strong player to succeed with his big man body, small man game skill set. Someone drafting him high in the NBA is doing it because he's 7 feet tall and not watching him play.
He needs another year playing at a level he CAN succeed at, to figure out what he needs to change about himself. Playing in the NBA, even in practice he's going to get eaten alive and be out of the league by the end of his rookie contract. Small guys will strip the ball from him before he can move, big guys will power him out of the paint and force him to the corner, which is NOT where you want your 7 foot big man. He shoots great for his size, but if he's going to play the 3, you are much better off with an explosive 3 who shoots good for a 3 and not a 3 that shoots good for a 5.

Final Four!
Haha was just about to post that. It hasn't been pretty but I'm glad we're getting to play these extra games.

Would have been appropriate had we lost but I'll take it. I heard the announcer say that this game was typical Alabama losing a tight low scoring game. It was pretty typical MD too. I guess someone had to lose.

Oh... you mean when I predicted the Terps to go 14-4 in the ACC?Well I knew the Terps would end up in the Final Four back in November!

The always frustrating Alex Len had a big game tonight mainly because the Tide played him straight up. (15 pts. 13 boards - 1 huge block to save the game) His two free throws could have been critical but the defense which was tough all night from the Turtles carried the day. Len showed flashes of brilliance and other times did even the most fundamental things wrong. Of course he'd benefit from staying another season but we know where he'll be next year.
The Terps halfcourt offense struggled at times but I expected that against a team who has one of the best defensive FG pct. in the nation. No doubt they missed Allen tonight.
Here's to a chance to end the season with 27 wins.

Point guard is still the question mark. Hopefully Peters can be that guy, but I'm concerned that he might be more along the lines of a combo guard like Allen and Faust than a true PG, plus his shoulder injury has to raise some doubts about how likely he'll be able to step in right away. I think we'll be relying on Pe'shon a lot more than we'd like to next season.

Has anyone else gotten a little depressed thinking how good we could have been if the harrison twins were coming next year?
Not until you just said that...
I still think we've got very good talent coming in that will stay for more than one year.
