3/14 MD vs. Wake ACCT

If MD can get past the Demon Deacons, they will earn the chance to face Duke. With Duke being rested, motivated after losing to MD in the previous game, and having Kelly back.... not a good formula for the Terps.
Still, I'd rather have the chance of getting blasted by Duke, as opposed to not playing them again. It would be disappointing to lose to Wake.

That said, I do think they come out, play hard (if not exactly well), and get a 6-10 point win.
Then get absolutely pasted by Duke. But that won't damper the win we got over them earlier for me. This being a lost season dampers it a bit, but it was still nice to have that one day of absolute euphoria. At least this Terps team was able to give us that one great moment.

Other than diehards, I don't think there's going to be too much interest in the NIT regardless if they win or not. I'll probably watch if there's nothing else on, but I'm not going out of my way for it.They really need to win this game for me to maintain much interest in the NIT. If they come out flat and lose a game they shouldn't in the ACC tournament, what reason is there to think they'll actually play hard in the NIT?

Yeah I agree here. This is a measuring stick game. Short of winning the ACCT they probably aren't getting in anyway, but losing to the top team is better than losing to a middle of the pack team any day of the week.

I think they are pretty close to a lock for the NIT. They are seeded 3rd here as of Tuesday (http://www.bracketol...ology-march-12/).Not sure I would assume NIT for MD at this point.

At the half, ESPN says Lundardi has MD on the 'next 4 out.' Unreal.

Wake carving MD up with interior passing. MD getting to the rim, and the line.
Wells having a monster 2nd half.

This has to be it for Bzdelik, right?
I'll consider tomorrow night a success if they can keep it within 10.
