Hey, did you guys hear that he's turning fifty years old? Isn't that amazing and newsworthy?

I can't believe this has been a lead story on ESPN all damn week. Crazy. Even Bob Haynie today (who I like a lot), was facilitating conversation on The Fan about what team you'd most like to see MJ play against (Like the Heat or the Lakers) for one final time at the age of 50.

That is earth shattering indeed. I haven't been this shaken up since he switched to those undershirts without the itchy tags.

No itchy tags, and no bacon collar either.

Obviously that's not going to happen.

Just don't ask me to put any money on it...

In MJ's mind he probably thinks he could come back. I heard an interview where he said he could still dunk.

He's already said he is working to get back to his playing weight of 218. Word came out that he beat MKG 1 on 1 right before he turned 50.

I really think it happens...

I hope not. Everything ends, including MJ's ability to play.

I don't get why people made a big deal about the Kobe and LBJ comments. By using his own logic he would take Robert Horry over himself. He gave nothing to back up his statement other than the rings argument. I think he's intimidated by LeBron because he is a likable guy who is likely going to surpass him as the greatest basketball player of all time. Also, he's proven with the Kwame Brown pick, the Adam Morrison pick, and the Bobcats last season he isn't much of an evaluator.

Agreed, the rings argument is pretty silly comparing the two at this point.

Did you also see the part where he could barely move the next day? No way his body could hold up even with the help of the refs.

Well I hear Linda Ronstadt is looking for a guitar player.

Did he learn anything from his tenure as a Wizard?

Shows the rings argument isn't the be-all, end-all like some make it out to be.

Based on his tenure as an owner one could argue he learned too much from Abe Pollin.

Well played, as was often said about Pollin, he had too much loyalty&patience when it came to his employees except when it came to Jordan. I read that MJ coming aboard was more Leonsis idea, and when he was ousted, MJ had some choice words for Ted. Ultimately, its hard to argue that ousting him was the right move even if it was a PR nightmare.
