Oh, but it's OK... as he was being released from jail this morning, he told reporters it wasn't a DUI and the truth would come out soon. These guys are a threat to society. They shouldn't be playing football.

Well now I'm relieved. It's only a hit-and-run and vandalism. Whew.....play on!

DUIs are a joke in this country. I've said it a bunch of times before, but I think it should be mandatory prison sentence of over a year for DUI. I'd legalize all drug use, but if you're on drugs or alcohol and you start driving somewhere, you go away for a long time. It should be on the same level as attempted murder, because that's what it is. I'm not talking just about three beers and maybe you blow a .09, though I won't argue that scenario is safe or acceptable, but if you're clearly drunk to the point where there is no argument that you're incapable of operating a vehicle in a safe manner (two or three times the current limit), you go to prison.
If Smith is guilty of this DUI, I hope he never plays again in the NFL. I'm sure he won't get any more than a slap on the wrist from the actual justice system and there appears next to no chance he changes his ways and lives as a responsible member of society given his history, so beyond his playing career, all we can hope for is that when he inevitably gets into a fatal wreck that it's just a one-car job with nobody else involved.

Santa Clara soccer parents vs. 49ers in heated new stadium war
After the San Francisco 49ers rallied support for their new stadium by promising to pay for new youth soccer fields, the NFL team isn't following through with its part of the deal -- and taxpayers will be left footing the multimillion dollar bill.
The unlikely turf war between the Niners and Santa Clara's youth soccer parents has been quickly buzzing around the normally quiet city and centers on the 49ers' new $1.3 billion Levi's Stadium and the city's adjacent state-of-the-art Youth Soccer Park. The soccer fields are so renowned that they draw teams from as far away as Southern California.
Jed York, owner of the 49ers, told the soccer league in a letter two years ago that the team would fund replacement fields. But the team's front office shocked the soccer league last week by telling them the Niners had abandoned those plans.
But last week one of York's vice presidents in the front office said in a letter to the soccer league that the local school fields they had looked into upgrading are "no longer available." It said now the 49ers would only fund replacement fields if the soccer league was willing to give up its prized soccer park to the Niners to use for VIP stadium parking.

I'm thinking the Niners are about to have some severe computer problems.

Pretty crazy to think about how far and how fast Kaepernick has fallen. This was a QB who was this close to leading the biggest comeback in Super Bowl history. Now his errant passes are injuring people on the sidelines.
Of course our shitty defense made him look like Steve Young, though.

Sounds like Kaepernick is getting benched for....Blaine Gabbert.
So we made Kaep look like an all pro -- probably his last good NFL game.
And we even managed to make Blaine Gabbert a primetime hero in 2011.
Shakes head.

I like how everyone is getting on the Rams about Reggie Bush hurting himself on the concrete. I can't really feel bad for the Niners there, since their own facilities are so poor that Justin Tucker fell into a damn sarlacc pit and everyone was all, "Meh."

Vernon Davis and a seventh in 2016 to the Broncos for a sixth each in 2016 and 2017.
Niners blowing it up.

Sounds like he'll be traded in the offseason. You have to think that the Jets, Skins, and Eagles would all be interested. Although maybe the Redskins dont want to get in bed with another pistol QB.

Probably better situations for him but would be the highest profile spot for him to go.
