The WBC has issues, but in general is good for baseball. I'm glad to see Orioles players get picked. Yes, even pitchers.

I don't really want any of our players to participate but it's their risk to take, and it's probably small.

As I've stated before, I only think you have this event if the best players are playing. I say the same thing about the All-Star game, if they are healthy enough to play in a regular season game, the same principle should apply. If you aren't going to have the best and it gets watered down, you might as well do away with it.
