Exhibit Z on why judging QB's based on team success is flawed.

It might be flawed, but we're always going to have the rings debate. If John Elway doesn't have those two rings at the end of his career, he looks much worse IMO.

It's fine to factor it in, but for that to be the largest criteria is wrong IMO.

Yeah, I thought you were trying to make it closer to irrelevant. We may differ with how much it matters, but we both agree it's a facor

I think it's at least on par with pitcher wins, meaning it's not a particularly worthwhile stat, but in general and over large sample sizes they will somewhat closely mesh with the reality of how good one is/was.

The Jets and Rex Ryan have agreed to a multi-year contract extension according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Jets ink Decker.  Life slightly different going from Manning (and numerous other offensive weapons) to Geno Smith and the Jets offense.

Meh. Smith isn't good, but neither is Vick.

I guess if they can go 8-8 with Smith than they can possibly win 9 or 10 if they're lucky with Vick.

Either way, your not a real contender with either guy.

It's just amusing to me that they said Sanchez is our guy, Sanchez is our guy, then they brought in both Tebow and Geno to erode that narrative.

Now last season they said Geno is our guy, Geno is our guy, and then they bring in Vick.

BTW... Balt should be on Sanchez as a backup.

Why do people actually draft guys like Geno Smith and expect them to be franchise guys.

It's so obvious from the beginning that they have no chance of being good NFL QBs.

I mean there are guys that you look at and you see some chance to be good. Like Manziel. I don't think he's going to be a good NFL QB, but there is some hope if he can improve and change his game.

There is quite simply no hope for guys like Genocide or Tebow. It baffles me how they're ever drafted and viewed as a future franchise QB.
