I literally just wrote this in the other thread...

After winning Coach of the Month in November.

The Deron Williams cancer claims another one.

Called this last night!

Tough...stuck there for the bad years, thrown to the curb after Lopez missed 7 games and Deron has been pretty ineffective.

I bet it ends up being one of the Van Gundys.

Yep..which is why you know DWill had something to do with it because he is all about star power and if his star isn't happy, then he will do what he can to make him happy.

I wonder if he's happy that Deron is fat...

The NBA is run by the players. Williams is a coach killer, plain and simple.

PJ the interim. He has had some experience dealing with players who act like jerks.

Word is the Nets are trying to lure Phil Jackson.

One thing for sure, we can rule out Jerry Sloan coming out of retirement for this job. :D

Larry Brown?

He was the first name I thought of..He's a Brooklynite, worked for Billy King already..Makes sense, right?

Yeah, makes sense. It would be kind of brutal for him to walk out on SMU in the middle of his first season there, but Larry has never been one to let the grass grow around his feet.

There should be a gentleman's agreement that an NBA team can not raid a college in mid season. Sadly though, your right it makes sense.

Ha. That's for sure!

They hired the "coach in waiting" or whatever for a good reason. Just seems like a natural fit, the hometown boy finally comes home. Hollywood stuff!

They could always let PJ finish out the year, and bring in Brown next year. Let him do his one season at SMU, while the coach in waiting handles the recruiting.

That would be the right thing to do but, the right thing does not always get done.

I doubt they'd do it. The Nets still have high expectations for this season, and they won't want to go with an interim coach for the remaining 4-plus months of it.

Yea, I'd probably agree. Would be a neat storyline though, for sure.

I'd hate to see them recycle someone like Dunleavy, Mike Brown.....etc.
