Music: The Cars' 1987 album "Door to Door"
I like the Cars. Very few bands did New Wave better than they did in the late 70s, early 80s and they have two classic records to their name ("The Cars" and "Heartbeat City"). However, by the time 1987 rolled around the band was just about ready to call it quits. They made one last record, called "Door to Door" and it was pretty much universally panned by critics. Still, I like this record a lot, and probably listen to it 2-3 times a year. And while it certainly isn't as good as the aforementioned records, there are 6-7 good pop/new wave songs on here. It's worth mentioning that it did manage to spawn one single "You are the Girl" which I believe ended up on their Greatest Hits album.
Movie: 1997 film "Nothing to Lose" starring Martin Lawrence and Tim Robbins
This movie is preposterous. The plot is farfetched and it has a 29% freshness rating on rottentomatoes. Still, I think this movie is hilarious. Martin Lawrence and Tim Robbins are such unlikely partners that there are at least 2-3 scenes that will have you laughing out loud. I can recall seeing this in the theaters and watching the scene in the desert where Martin Lawrence is pointing a gun at various people and almost being in tears. Still, nobody is giving this thing any sort of Academy Award.
So there, I can probably think of a few more, including television shows and books. What about you guys?

Terrible reviews and ratings, but I think it's hysterical. Every scene with Walken just kills me.

TV: American Idol
Music: Adele
Books: Harry Potter I guess
Movies: Crazy, Stupid, Love
Why are Adele and Crazy, Stupid, Love guilty pleasures? Shouldn't they just be pleasures? They're good enough and respected enough to remove the guilty part imo.

The next time we get in an argument on here I reserve the right to drop "Ok, but you like Taylor Swift" whenever I see fit.

Agreed. Though, I haven't been very impressed with the current season. I didn't really like them bringing back old contestants.

That's fair, I was trying to think of one for each category off the top of my head. I guess Magic Mike for movies, it's just a legit drama along the lines of Boogie Nights. And Olivia Munn gets naked. Can't think of any music at the moment.
Top Chef and Mean Girls get my approval.

How does David Spade find work?! Or at least starring work. I liked him in Tommy Boy and he's pretty funny when he was on Saturday Night Live, but I don't know if he can/should lead a movie. If watching Joe Dirt is wrong, then I don't want to be right.
