BTW....there is a reason why Vazquez despite his numbers continues to get picked over in the NBA.

BTW, why does the NBA not accept trades after 2 PM? Why don't they let teams trade picks throughout the draft instead of trading draft rights?

Stern has to meet Selig at the Denny's for the early-bird special.

That's when Stern starts drinking.

That trade is not great news for G. Vazquez

Not great news for Sixers fans either. Sending away a real player, 18 pts & 8 assists for another injured big man. Plus they let Lou Williams walk last year.

David Stern should be the commissioner emeritus with his sole responsibility being the Draft. Either that, or he should start his own wrestling circuit.

God, Stern is such a smug douchebag. People jump on Selig and Goodel for not being likeable but Stern is by far the worst.

David Stern should be the commissioner emeritus.

I have a feeling he will be. Just can't see him relinquishing the power and spotlight that easily. He'll be a presence in the NBA as long as he is on this side of the grass.

Yes, but he won't be "officially" involved. So Adam Silver will be doing the draft, and that will be no fun whatsoever...unless he embraces his baldness and turns into Walter White.

Absolutely shocked Andre Roberson is a first round pick. I wasn't convinced he would even get drafted. Very happy for him, he gambled and won!

Cool moment with Olajuwon coming out to congratulate Stern.

Him coming out to a standing ovation, then Silver getting booed, was the best possible way that could have ended. Olajawon was just a bonus. Though I wonder how many young people right now are wondering why the guy from the GEICO commercials just congratulated Stern :P

Any chance the Wizards don't waste this pick? Still some decent names there.

.
Wolters can score...some thought he was a late first rounder.

Actually....

@Chris_Broussard: source confirms Glen Rice Jr. going from Philly to Washington for 38th and 54th picks

Interesting. Don't think that's a good trade for the Wizards, but time will tell.

@ESPNAndyKatz: Jackrabbit on the move. Nate Wolters is now going to Milwaukee, per Bucks. He was picked by Washington for Philadelphia.

I don't get some of the negative comments on the Holiday for Noel and a 1st trade.

New Orleans will likely have a top 10 pick next year in a loaded draft class. Philadelphia will likely have a top 5 pick. Two top 11 picks this year and two (probable) top 10 picks next year. Hinkie is following the Morey model in how to build a team. Load up on 1st round picks and eventually gather enough talent to trade for a star.

Holiday is good but he's not great. He's a good defender but his offense is really hit or miss. He rarely creates shots for his teammates and he doesn't drive nearly as much.
