Gotta find some bench contributors. Especially when we get into Big Ten and NCAA tourneys with quick turnarounds.

Hoiberg is a good coach.

Terps have now won 6 of their last 7 games. Next one comes back in College Park against Iowa on Sunday evening.

It’s been a while.Defense can be frustrating but the offense might be the most enjoyable since... the Greivis years?
The team deserves a lot of credit for how they assembled this roster after the disaster last year.
I’ll take this offense over a better D all day. And I think we can have both. They’ve played good defense for long stretches. Big potential if they can get dialed in with both.

Need some help from the bench, starting 5 is gonna wear down come March.
I'd guess Stephens is basically a non factor the rest of the way.

Yeah, post-game show guys said (I didn't confirm it) that the bench played only 17 minutes total last night.
I know that was a game Willard wanted. Hoping some of these upcoming games are a bit more comfortable and the bench guys can get some run.

Not sure that's a thing in the Big Ten, unfortunately. Iowa is 60th in NET, USC 61st (Rutgers whom they just barely beat is 74th in NET by comparison). It's desperation season for these teams, and MD represents a Quad 1 opportunity. Right now, USC/Iowa aren't even considered "bubble" teams, but things can change, and a win against MD would help.
I don't want to let up. These are college kids, can't be thinking burn out IMO.

After this win, Maryland jumped up two spots in both the NET Rankings (#16) and KenPom's rankings (#17).

Good win for the Terps last night. They beat a pretty good and well coached Nebraska team in front of a packed house, on a night when Nebraska played well. Maryland is also well coached and it showed down the stretch. When the game got tight, Maryland attacked. They got big shots off ball movement from Rice, JG and Miguel and then converted at the free throw line. Excellent job winning the last 3 minutes.

This is a fun team to watch. It has been a very enjoyable season, I hope the best is yet to come.

Historically their 82.8 ppg is the most they've averaged since the 2001-02 championship team. Beating a dead horse again, the Charmin-soft OOC schedule probably gives them a boost, but they are still light years better than anything from the Turgeon era and first two Willard seasons.
In the Greivis era only his senior season came close (79.7 in 2009-10). They averaged 79 his freshman season.
The 2004-05 team that didn't even make the NCAAs averaged 81.9, but they gave up 76, which is the worst of any team since the first post-Joe Smith season.

Best offensive game of the season based on opponent-adjusted efficiency from Barttorvik (Kenpom competitor that's totally free lol)

This year they're 16th on Kenpom for offense
2019-20 B1G co-champs team was 18th, 2015-16 Sweet 16 team was 24th, 2009-10 Greivis senior year was 7th

Some of that is related to pace of play. This team pushes the floor much faster than the Turgeon teams.
Houston is only averaging 75 points a game despite being 6th in adjusted offense, because they don't play as fast.
