Upgrade on McCann, at least. I can live with it.
Offensively and defensively. McCann was awful behind the plate, Sanchez surprisingly average.

Since 2022 Sanchez has bested McCann in BUC duties in all but cERA. I was actually surprised to see it, cuz he was a dumpster fire in NY, seemingly quitting on plays on multiple occasions. I guess he's done well enough to stick around as a BUC though.

Yeah, Sanchez was beyond awful in NY, however, being traded & waived after you act like a douche likely woke him up. I trust the FO enough to know that this guy has likely embraced the role of a back up catcher. I'm sure he takes things like hustling after wild pitches and passed balls seriously.

He is on a heater that is for sure. That is the good, the bad is that he is damn near a liability behind the plate.
