You might be right about Crosby.
You might get someone who could actually make a 45 yard field goal consistently if you could weather the swarm.
Keep doing what you're doing and you'll keep getting what you get.
I doubt Tucker's not done with missing XP's, much less FG's for the balance of the year.
Chris Boswell was in much the same situation two years ago with Pittsburgh--I think he missed something like eight of 28 field goals that year. But now he's missed just five in the past two seasons.
I can understand the trepidation and dread that people are feeling every time Tucker goes out there to attempt a kick we took as a foregone conclusion for so long, but what no one knows is whether this current stretch is the end of a career or just a prolonged slump. Unless the Ravens designate him as a post-June 1 next year, there's no advantage to cutting him, either. Maybe it wouldn't be such a bad idea to bring someone in now to compete with him for the job through this season, but who is that guy? Right now the only available kickers I'm seeing are Greg Joseph, who was waived earlier this season by the Giants, and Randy Bullock, who hasn't kicked in the NFL in over a year.
