UM donors and alumni, and just as importantly the administration, are only willing to go so far to win...which obviously isn't far enough. After games like this they just go to Bentley's and watch 2002 Final Four reruns and they're just fine.

Just making the call that this will be the one we look back on when we fail to qualify for a bowl game. Tough schedule. They’re capable, but I don’t think they’re going bowling this year. Today sucked.I don't think that's true.
They're capable of winning a game you don't expect.
But it's a swing game that hurts your overall ceiling of anything you'd like to accomplish.
Losing a home conference game against a team with a new coach, and a team you beat up last year... that would be a tough blow.

There are rare big wins and bad losses clearly happen more often.
This is a program that has been stuck in neutral for almost 70 years.
There is baseball, and occasionally there are other things of note
"Now OPS sucks. Got it."
"Making his own olive brine is peak Mackus."
"I'm too hungover to watch a loss." - McNulty

Don't be the guy that jumps into the threads when there is late disappointment.
Also, and you know I’m fond of you Nickle, but I def chuckled at the idea that THIS was the post Stoner called you out over.

Outside of a couple of posters I feel like I mostly play well with others. Its just that those few drive me crazy

How many games has this program won where they were expected to lose? I really can’t think of any. I guess the PSU and Michigan wins? But those all came during down years for those programs.

They were underdogs for both Texas wins and the 2018 Texas win was an actual nice win since Texas went like 10-2 and won the Sugar Bowl that year

Hell, Matt Canada was interim coach 1 year (after the Durkin debacle) and beat Texas and nearly beat Ohio State (took them to OT).

Some might say they've gone to bowl games and won 3 in a row, and that moves the needle. I don't feel it. The bowl games now aside from the very top tier are an afterthought, and so many kids sit out for whatever stupid reason they are like NFL preseason games.
Gotta go beat a Michigan or OSU or even PSU, when they're not down. Not every year, but once would be a nice start. I don't think Locks can do it...

I mean USC is probably going to be ranked when they coming to College Park for homecoming and they probably shouldn't be as physical as your typical Mich/OSU/PSU team so I'm definitely curious how that'll go
