Def all about the OL. Did we play 1st string guys?? I know I saw Vorhees but Im assuming Stanley didnt play and I know Linderbaum didnt. Ill guess Rosengarten got snaps. Did Mekari?

No Stanley, or Linderbaum.  I think Vorhees played some.  I know Rosengarten was out there quite a bit.  DId not see Mekari.  OL didn't look good.  Ravens only had around 80 yards rushing, but then they were all rookie RBs.  Hard to tell.  I don't think you could tell much from this game either way.  Pretty much how most preseason games go.

Mekari played a little. Wiggins definitely impressed. Simpson was all over the place. Other than that, not much to note that will effect the regular season much.

There’s just zero need for these games other than gate receipts. You can do scrimmages (hands off the qb) and, if you want, charge some sort of admission and bring in the refs if you think they need a preseason too.

These games are just dumb

I didn’t keep track of who all played and who didn’t, but whoever was playing DL couldn’t stop the run for crap. Whoever was on offense looked pretty anemic too. Do they still make season ticket holders pay for these games as part of the package? That’s criminal if so.

Yes. I was thinking I'd be able to sell the tickets to this game since it was Philly, but the weather kinda ruined that idea. I had them listed for $10.

The Ravens should let their loyal PSL owning season ticket holders off the hook for this nonsense.

Yea, good luck with that.

Got the O's renewal invoice yesterday (renew by September 1 to get the best chance for postseason tickets!) and, yea, they jacked their prices up (although, to be fair, not that much)

These owners do not care about you

I don't necessarily disagree with the "preseason is dumb" crowd. Only bad things can happen to important players. Example: Nate Wiggins.

But I do tend to like it when the Ravens have some later draft picks, or intriguing UDFA's that they are going to play a lot during the preseason. Only time you're really going to get to see them in game-time situations. Sure they're going against other likely future cut-victims. But you can still get a feel for their speed, vision, ability and natural instincts watching them in game situations.

If preseason went away, I wouldn't be mad. I'm also not mad that they still have the games. Really wish they wouldn't push important players out there though. No need to see anyone of importance in August games.

The NFL is the most fan-unfriendly sports league out there. Just look at this whole BS from the Sunday Ticket lawsuit. But when you have a product so many people can’t do without, that’s the kind of crap you can get away with.

Anybody know what Jerry Sandusky said about the chain gang last week?  He issued an apology to them so someone must have complained.  Surprised he wasn't fired given today's cancel culture.

You don’t even know what he said but you’re surprised he wasn’t fired? Or did you just want to take a moment to talk about how sad it is for people to be held accountable these days, AKA “cancel culture”.

Seems like he just basically said there's no point to having them these days since we can measure everything so precisely. Doesn't seem very controversial.

Yeah, I'm sure someone gave him some grief about advocating for technology replacing human labor. Still not something he should have even felt the need to issue an "offical public apology" for. Kinda ridiculous...

Preseason was cool for like the first ten years or so.

Before I was a PSL holder it was fun to go down and see a game for cheap. I didn’t even mind when they brought it in the second and third stringers. Even when watching on TV. But over the last ten or so years teams just go through the motions. Starters barely play. It’s a practice they charge regular season prices for.

No thanks.
