Livan Soto appears to have options, but you need some kind of IF, does Vavra stay? (at least until Holliday?)

Slater I guess has options so he's down and Pache stays?

Jiminez needs to be on the bench but where does he gets anything other than PH PAs?

 

Is JIminez here to leave Mayo down?

It's a good team.
Would look that much better with Holliday and Mayo.

Next few months should be fun.
Sure August will be better than July.

I said that Roch pointed it out in his tweet earlier. And they just noted that as well on the broadcast so something to watch for potentially.

To be fair, Irvin seemed like a good teammate. He just wasn't a very good pitcher most of the time. He'll probably end up in Norfolk.

Not sure what his salary is but I  see a team claiming him. Even a 2nd division team who just needs someone to eat innings the rest of the year

Absolutely.

I think the White Sox & A's stand out as landing spots.

So I guess when you look at the roster moves (pre-deadline to today)...

 

RP Burch Smith stayed,

RP GSoto added, Akin sent down

RP Dominguez added, Hunt sent down/Irvin released

OF: Slater added, Pache was DFA

Bat: Eloy Jiminez added, Kjerstad sent down

2B Holliday added, Westburg to IL

MI : Soto added, Norby traded

I guess they don't wanna put emergency SS on Holliday's plate as he re-debuts here.  Otherwise I don't see the point of Livan Soto on the roster.  Once Holliday settles in I hope they use him as the backup SS.  

 

Kjerstad can return to replace Slater if Slater continues to stink.

 

Mayo can debut if Jimenez continues to stink or if Urias struggles or if Mountcastle struggles.  I think they've just told us a lot about their evaluation of his defense at 3B, but still a slim chance that they think its ok and are just delaying him for '25 ROY reasons.

 

Hopefully no more injuries to think about next man up to replace.
