Going back two months to early June is stupid. THe turn was clearly the Stros series. THey were 13-6 from June 1st through June 20th. THats a near 700 win %. So stop it. Dont buy BaltBird's nonsense to make this seem like the struggle has been longer than it has. 

 

 

From June 21st through July 24 we are 11-15 with a poor run diff. Thats the timeframe where we have not been playing good baseball. Full stop. Period.

Replace Perez and akin with two better relievers. Get two SP. Figure out a way that I never have to see Urias Cowser Mountcastle or Mateo ever again and I’ll be back on board.

They haven't been sucking for a month. Middling around .500, give or take a few. Very mediocre. Lucky for us, everyone else has been as bad or worse.

This team doesn't appear to always play with the same energy as last year's version. Maybe it's me. 

 

I realize the 162-game season is a grind and everyone wears down to a degree. But a younger team typically bounces back faster than an older one, and besides, everyone has played roughly the same amount of games. Hell, Bobby Witt, Jr. was in the Home Run Derby and then started out the second half 13-for-16, or something ridiculous like that.

Last year was the anomaly as far as how consistent they were. Even for teams that win 100 games. Usually you still have a longer stretch of mediocre baseball. Still think this team will win 95
