Why? We got a much better look at some potential competition and some more data on where we might be lacking that to beat up on a lousy team. Being great right now is superb. But being great in October is better. We can be great in October with some fixes. And yes we could be great in October as is but the stars would have to align.

Well, that's true for anyone, really.  I seriously doubt the Astros are headed to the World Series but I don't think anyone felt the Rangers were last year either.  You never know.  This series was a major hangover from the emotional intensity of New York but getting at least one win would have been nice.

What happened to Palmer? He was supposed to do both the NY and Hou series

Palmer was diagnosed with covid so he is in isolation until he tests negative.

Maybe it's the Central Time Zone. We've gotten waxed in both St. Louis and Houston this year.

Not surprised they're flat after that series in NY.

Hopefully some home cooking sets them straight.

I never had friends later on like the ones I had when I was twelve. Jesus, does anyone?

This is especially brutal living in Texas where everyone is either a Rangers or Astros fan.

Astros fans are the new Red Sox fans. Losers for almost their entire existence, and then they win a little bit with the aid of some trash cans and tablets and suddenly they become insufferable.

The thing is, they're know-nothing fans. Aside from Altuve, they don't even know who their players are.

Fan 1: Whose pitching for us today?

Fan 2: The scoreboard says it's Valdez

Fan 1: Valdez?

Fan 2: Yep, Valdez

Fan 1: Is he good?

Good news! I saw a dog today.

Sitting in the stands was brutal. Astros fans are the least informed of any fanbase I've ever interacted with.
