7 no-hit and we're still complaining...

Im genuinely unsure why some people watch and follow.

Burnett had a crazy one as well I think. Like double digit walks and HBP, if memory serves.

Remember Joe Cowley back in 1986? His no-no consisted of eight strikeouts, seven walks, and an earned run. He also threw as many balls (69) as he did strikes. Not one for the ages exactly, but one for the record books nonetheless.

It was also Cowley's last win in the majors.

A season-high 15 games over .500.

Great win.

Wasn't pretty, but much needed sweep after the debacle in St. Louis.

And look at that- even the Padres finally won a game against the Yankees, making Sunday even more enjoyable.

You can add no-hitters to the list of things players don't care about anymore.  When they first started taking pitchers out with a no-hitter going, I was appalled.  Now, I don't even acknowledge it.

I think players care about no hitters.  Every pitcher probably dreams of throwing one, but in today's game where 100 pitches is considered a lot, managers are forced to make tough decisions about how far they will let a guy go.  Yesterday's was easy.   Bradish was done and keeping him healthy for the long run, was what was best for the Orioles and for Kyle.

Yeah, letting a guy throw an extra 30-40 pitches to try and get a no-hitter in today's game is very rare.

Removing Bradish, who's already dealing with a sprained UCL, at 100 whatever pitches is a no brainer.

I always thought David Hess should have gotten the opportunity to keep going in 2019. Completely different situation though.

Agree. Was thinking of that yesterday.
