Like I said I don't think brush back or plunking is in Hyde's tool kit but after that jack azz stare from Soto ....well he'd see some inside heat if I was in charge. What a dick.
I'm with Hyde on this.
The best way to deal with asshats like this is to simply outplay them.
For the past 18 innings that is exactly what the O's have done

They’ve got staring down pitchers, we’ve got a 2-0 series lead. Eat it, jerkoffs.
This... One hundred percent... this

Easily my least favorite player of any opposing team in baseball.

Serious lack of clutch hitting from Judge.

The next Oriole to hit a homerun should take frickin 5 minutes to make their way around the bases. Trot backwards, do a tap dance before each bag, blow kisses to the crowd and leap into the air before coming down on home plate. And even though Hyde isn't one to order a knockdown, if I'm pitching, Soto gets drilled right in the back his first time up. He can charge the mound all he wants and a 15-minute brawl can ensue. Who cares. Nobody should be able to come into your park and pull that shit. I didn't see the stare down but have been reading about it. It really pisses me off. Time for this team to show a little red ass in their blood and answer.

Soto seemed like a good guy before he got to NY. What a d-bag.
No. He's always been this way.

It was a jerk move, but it wasn't like something Bautista would have done. At the end of the day it's like congrats Soto, you hit a solo home run to not take the lead. You were part of a fielding blunder, flied out in the top of the 8th with a runner on and your team lost.

Earl Weaver famously hated throwing at opposing hitters. His theory was that his players were better, so if a beanball war led to injuries or ejections, it would probably hurt the O's more than the other team.

Oh my God, the amount of Yankee fans bitching and moaning about the great wall of Baltimore is absolutely nauseating! What a freaking bunch of crybabies.
We were there again last night. Listening to entitled Yankee fans, makes it real easy to hate them.

He's always been a jerk IMO.
Grabbing his crotch, stepping towards the mound towards pitchers before the pitch clock, etc.
He's an insufferable asshole.

Yep, he used Frank Robinson as an example initially, and then Eddie Murray. What good would it do the Orioles if either of them got hit in the face with a pitch, possibly breaking their jaw and putting them out for three months? Pretty high price to pay just to win a beanball war.

It must be nice to have a guy like Soto who hits for power, average and draws a ton of walks. I wish the Orioles had a couple of him in their lineup. If the Yankees do win the East, Soto will be the main reason.
I think the Orioles have some guys who are pretty good too.
