Getting to third safely was huge
He's an intimidating presence on the base paths

It's got to be hard to go from being a gold glove third baseman to a part time player over the course of two years but Urias is handling himself very well.

Really good win today. First time KC has been shutout this year.
Great job by Irvin, bullpen hung in there and a little bit of offense.
Keep winning Series'.

Great series win. All the planets aligned today with Irvin and I'll enjoy it for what it is- a rare event.

Im not a fan of flying all the way to the west coast just to play a 3 game series and then all the way back home
At least Thursday is an off day.

6+ is surprising, but Irvin has his fair share of good games.
Two years ago he allowed 1 run or less in 5+ innings eleven times. In 2021 he did it ten times. Even last year he did it 5 times in 12 starts. One run or less 26 of 74 starts, better than one in three. Problem is he'll also give you too many 5 runs in 4 inning type games. You're either in good shape or feel like you're completely out of it.

Well they’re half way there already… and there’s an off day after LAA. No big deal.

I wonder why the change. Used to be a team would play a three team west coast series. Usually like LA, Oak, and Seattle. I think this year they only do two west coast teams at a time for every western trip.

Interleague play might factor in. More overall visits to the Left Coast.
