Whatever. I guess it doesn't matter anyway. He's not solving their problems even if he plays well.

As I was saying

Slide big mad when they don't run the ball enough. Slide big mad when they sign the biggest workhorse RB in FB.

For the record, I'm indifferent on Henry. Hopefully he still has some juice in the tank.

Slide big mad until the Ravens win the Super Bowl.

Henry was outproduced on a per-carry basis last year by Tyjae Spears.

Didn't Crack 1200 yards on 280 carries.

Not big mad - big cynical. All of this is just rearranging deck chairs on the titanic until they can win big games. They could have paid a rookie league minimum to ride the pine while they throw 50+ times in the playoffs instead of paying Henry 16 million to do it.

Let's face it, they can't do anything right until they actually win the big games. I get it. You'll believe it when it happens.

Did Tyjae Spears share a backfield with Lamar last year?

Titans had the worst OL in the league according to PFF. Does that matter?

Did Spears have to run behind the same line?

I do like the point of being able to use him to protect leads and make teams quit late in games -- obviously we have had issues in the past with protecting leads.

I am a little bit skeptical -- I'm more of a "get young cheap RB" type of person -- I'd rather have drafted an RB this year and paid him peanuts versus this but, our FO usually get things right so....

Different situations, hard to say.

ETA: To elaborate, I don't have stats, and only watched the London game for them, but he seemed like mostly the 3rd down/passing down guy. Running on 1st and 10 or 3rd and 2 is a lot different than running in passing situations.

I'm confused how two running backs in the same backfield would have different lines to run behind.

Everyone is saying the RB class is kinda weak this year. But who lnows. I still think a RB is in play to be drafted this year. Henry may only be here for 2024.  Agree with your 1st paragraph here and its why hes most def a fit for this offense. THey want a hammer to help put games away in the 2nd half. He is most def a hammer.

I think Henry can still wear defenses down.

Also, IIRC, the Ravens came close to acquiring him during the season last year. There's something about him the front office likes.

Perhaps. Spears does have more catches than Henry had so you could be right. I just don't think it bodes well.

I promise SPears ypc wouldnt have been 4.5 over 280 carries. If youre getting goalline carries you can absolutely do your job and only get a yard or two because you score. Or when you are salting away games late and getting stacked boxes. THose situatons lower your ypc. He rushed 280 behind a poor OL and still put up a very respectable 4.2 ypc. Beyond that watch him hit holes and run from last year. He still has his legs. Use your eyes.

Henry's no longer a 1500+ yd feature back, but the Ravens' offense doesn't need or want that.  I like the signing.
