What's crazy is that MD is 14-13,6-10...  and if they win today, their last 3 games are NW, Indiana, and at Penn State.

They're favored to win each of them.

18-13-10-10 entering the BTT.... and they'd be within a win or two of actually dancing.

I highly doubt that would be the case. But maybe you're right. KenPom has them mid 50's, NET has them 71. You're right, that truly is crazy.

All five of the starters have at-least 5 points...  Young, Geronimo, Scott each with 6...  Reese, and DHS both with 5.

Rutgers has used 11 players so far.  Think MD has used just 7.

Big time move from Reese.

Had charged his last time down.  This time, backed down the defender, and finished.

Terps get the 63-46 win.

Great defensive effort, and work on the boards.

Reese was really good in the 2nd half.  Finished with 20 points, 6 boards, and 2 blocks.

Terps with the W and Geronimo with a very good game, just as expected.  DHS being more assertive on offense is good, and he should be even more assertive on O.  It was a fugly game, my eyes and brain hurt after watching that. But, good W nonetheless.

When Maryland gets significant help from a player not named Young, Reese or Scott, they are a completely different team.  Rutgers's seemed to have a plan to bang Young around, run him off a lot of picks and wear him down, but his team with a lot of help from Geronimo really stepped up.

Whole season really has hinged on a few possessions.  They've come up short in most of them.  Davidson, UAB, at NW, at OSU, MSU at home - all easily could have and probably should have been wins.  They did just enough to lose all of them.

Still feels to me like this team is a few made FTs a game away from contending for a B10 tourney double-bye right now, and yet we feel like the NCAA tourney hopes mostly ended about a week ago.
