Yeah, for all the money the Big Ten is bringing in, it’s ridiculous they can’t hire competent officials for football and men’s basketball. It ought to be a major point of emphasis as expansion continues.B10 officiating is way past awful.
The phantom charge on DHS was one of the worst calls we will see all year. He split the defenders perfectly, layed the ball in, then a call was made. Brutal.

I don't think the Tech was on Willard. It looked to me like it was on one of the assistant coaches behind Willard. They called it a bench tech.
I didn't watch the 2nd half as I knew the Terps were going to lose. I did see Willard wave his arm at the ref and say something right before the T, but who knows. Anyway, from reading posts it seemed the refs were all in on Wisc winning in the 2nd half. Willard should have just got a 2nd T and got tossed. Let the refs know he won't have this one-sided reffing, I mean don't get a fine, but let the refs know the calls are horrible.

So first half T during a close game was stupid, but 2nd half T during that same close game would've been good?

Didn't see the 2nd half, but if they had a bad call against them at the very end, like I guess there was a block called on Long at the end that could have easily been a charge. At that point I would have been OK with Willard giving the refs a pointed talking and getting a T. Shoot even before that I would have said enoughs enough!
But that 1st T was dumb, whoever it was on!
