Young's been great but some of his mistakes tonight are gonna end up being the difference between winning and losing. He's the only initiator on the team so he's gotta force sometimes, but Illinois seemed to punish every mistake.

Another bad loss. Jahmir trying too much at the end and missing close-range shots the final ~4mins, questionable foul calling on the Terps and Reese, Willard not fouling under a minute and down 4. Traore should have been guarding Shannon, not Young or Scott. Whatever...it is what it is, 4 more weeks to go.

I was there and while it was nice to see the place packed and loud despite the team being average at best, it still stunk.

It's almost over. And it'll probably be even worse next season unless Willard goes hard at the transfer portal. He'll almost have to go hard just to field a competent roster next season.

There will be plenty of options in the portal. If we don’t get guys it won’t be for lack of effort. I don’t doubt Willard’s work ethic. But if the NIL money ain’t there it ain’t there.
