The other four starting spots will he up for grabs and it could be ugly. I wouldn't guarantee DHS or Kaiser anything.

Horrid lose. Reese missing free throws and some real bad turnovers. Scott missing FTs and turnovers. UMD played well when Traore was in and they built a nice lead, and then he sits, and we watch Long do nothing. Young misses an important FT. Just a mess. They play hard, but do stupid things, choke and lose; SMH.
I admittedly only saw the 2nd half but I thought Long was terrific on defense tonight. That's why he was in there.
I'm not putting this on Willard. I mean big picture if you want to question the roster that's fine but he put his team in a position to win multiple times tonight and they refused to do it. At some point someone has to make a play to win a game like that. Dante Scott, 5th year senior, 80% FT shooter, missing 2 and totally bricking the 2nd - I mean come on man.

I think Reese will be back. He hasn't left yet - why go now?

I think it's pretty impossible to say. I have a hard time seeing Reese stick around but that could just be me being jaded about the portal. I wouldn't be surprised if DHS and/or Kaiser left either, and frankly I don't think either would be much of a loss.
He's going to have to totally rebuild the roster basically.

They were even better on D when Traore was in, they played really well with Traore, Reese, Scott, Young and DHS lineup. Traore's length was causing matchup issues for OSU, and then he sits for most of the 2nd half and both OTs. IDGI.

Agree that the 2024-2025 will have to be a totally rebuilt team.
I think Reese will he back.
I guess they'll count on Stephens to play one of the guard spots if he can return healthy.
DHS and Kaiser will have to get significant minutes if they are back.
Swanton-Rodger, Batchelor, and the rest are barely D1 roster quality.

Obviously the free throw shooting and tendency to get into stupid foul trouble is a problem.

Reese is now 5/11 from the free throw line today.
It's honestly ridiculous. I didn't see any of today's game because of kid sports but sounds like another close game they win if he can just shoot 60% from the line.
Being that bad has to be sheer lack of interest in getting better.

He’s soft and a major disappointment relative to his talent. Stats can be deceiving. Hope he isn’t on the team next year.Eh. He shoots more than 50% from the floor, averages almost a double-double, gets his blocks. He's far from the problem with the team.

I'm indifferent. I wouldn't be upset if he left in the portal, but likely whoever they get to replace him won't be as good.
