Maryland’s defense has been elite today. So impressive.

And with 5:42 left in the game, a fourth player has finally scored for Maryland.

Considering the hype he had, Harris-Smith might be my most disappointing freshman since...Roddy Peters?

Maryland has been horrible at closing out close games this year. Doesn’t look to be any different today.

Just not enough offensive talent - especially with Reese spending most of his time on the bench. Young and Scott can't do it all.

No shortage of candidates every program has guys like that. But he was billed by some as a possible one and done and he is a 0 offensively.

I thought I read that Harris Smith was still a bit of a project offensively. Just a hard nosed player who needed to refine his shot. Obviously still needs some refining.

Kaiser equally as disappointing as he was billed as a shooter and hasn't hit much of anything.

Disappointing loss. Feel like a win at Michigan State could've got them back on the tournament map.

Was never happening. Too inconsistent and too thin.

Needed big games from Young, Scott, and Reese. Unfortunately, Reese spent the majority of the game as a spectator, and they still kept it close til the end. The freshman scored zeroes.

Yup. It wasnt just the recruiting ranking. There was a ton of hype around the summer. How well he was practicing and pick up games I guess. There was def like impact freshman buzz both local and national. In that regard I dont even know who the last was to be such a disappointmemt. Its one thing to have a recruit ranking attached to your name that might be high. Its another to be getting national buzz

I get that Scott can be infuriating at times but where the hell is scoring coming from next year. Young and Scott are gone and it wont surprise me if Reese transfers too. I get there is a portal and all that. Someone will score. But damn things look really bad for this program

Won't be shocked to see one or both of DHS or Kaiser roll out. I think Reese stays - he's been here 3 years already- why leave now? I guess Chance Stephens will be counted on for some scoring.

The incoming HS recruiting class is pretty bad if they don't add to it.

His recruits so far have been just terrible. Next year could be disastrous.
