Some tough calls here.

I went with the Bee, Bobby Grich, Eddie-Eddie, Doug DeCinces, Rick Dempsey, Tippy Martinez, Sweet-Swingin' Kenny Singleton, Palmer, Flanny and McGregor. It was tough leaving off guys like Steve Stone and Mike Boddicker, but Stone had just that one great year in 1980 and Boddicker didn't make his presence felt until 1983.

Even though he was only here for one season, I thought perhaps Mike Torrez could be on the list. He got traded a lot it seemed, and he's still probably best known for giving up that three-run homerun to Bucky Dent in the famous one-game playoff in 1978, but he was a 20-game winner for the Orioles in 1975.

Did you know that only 4 Orioles have had a 200 hit season. With the way the game is now hard to know if and when it happens again. Whats the relevence to this thread? I dont know but Ill tell you that two of these seasons happened between 74-83

Al Bumbry in 1980 and Cal in 1983.

You got me curious so I looked it up. Cal didn't surprise me, but I don't recall Bumbry getting that many in 1980, and I tend to forget that Miguel Tejada played here. I also wouldn't have guessed BJ Surhoff. I've seen some sites include George Sisler, who did it multiple times, but he played for the St. Louis Browns, not the Baltimore Orioles. That's like calling Jim Brown the Ravens' all-time leading rusher.

Now if you want to go back to the 19th century, Wee Willie Keeler did it five straight times for the old National League Baltimore Orioles. That team, however, doesn't have any connection to the current one other than the name, so I don't know if that legacy actually counts.
