Six of those teams play head-to-head Week 1 next season.

Georgia vs Clemson (Atlanta)

Notre Dame at Texas A&M

LSU vs USC (Las Vegas)

Also Texas travels to Michigan in Week 2.

Ohio State has quietly had themselves a week. While Marvin Harrison Jr announced he's headed to the NFL, these guys have announced they are coming back:

RB TreVeyon Henderson

EDGE JT Tuimoloau

CB Denzel Burke

WR Emeka Egbuka

EDGE Jack Sawyer

DT Tyleik Williams

OG Donovan Jackson

Add in transfer QB Will Howard (Kansas St) and RB Quinshon Judkins (Ole Miss) and they are easily a Top 3 team headed into next season right now.

JJ McCarthy and Blake Corum both declared for the NFL draft today. Michigan will be a very different team next season, and still no idea if Harbaugh will be a part of it.

There's a TE for Miami that just got a waiver for a 9th year of eligibility. That's not a typo but it is absurd

He played out here for Oregon a few years to start. He was in the same freshman class as Justin Herbert. I remember he was always getting season-ending injuries. That's where the NCAA waivers come from.

So in addition to all that above, OSU just got a transfer commitment from safety Caleb Downs, who as a freshman at Alabama last season was a 2nd Team All-American. Ugh.

The good news is that they also hired Bill O'Brien as their OC today, so instead of being so-so, their offense might flat out stink next season.

Stewart Mandel

Former LSU WR Kayshon Boutte has been issued an arrest warrant in an online gambling investigation. He is alleged to have placed 8,900 (!) wagers while underage, including at least six on LSU football games.

On3.com: Big Ten, SEC creating joint advisory group of AD's, presidents to address college sports problems

That the Big Ten and SEC are doing this alone, without any other FBS conferences, seems very telling.

ESPN and the College Football Playoff have agreed to a contract extension that will keep the 12-team CFP on ESPN through the 2031-32 season. It's valued at $7.8B, or an AAV of $1.3B per year. While the format of the CFP after the 2025 season is still up in the air, this deal likely means we'll be getting something similar to what we'll see the next two seasons.

The CFP and ESPN have officially extended their broadcast agreement, starting in 2026 and running through the 2031-32 season. The deal will average $1.3B per year. The exact format is still TBD, but the field will definitely expand from 12 to 14 teams. The big issue/debate recently was more about the revenue distribution....and here it is:

B1G/SEC: 29% each (>$21m per school)

ACC: 17% ($13m per)

B12: 15% ($12m)

G5: 9% ($1.8m)

ND: $12m+ $6m bonus for making field

So in addition to broadcast deals worth tens of millions more per school, Big Ten/SEC members will also get about $10M more each from the CFP than their next-closest competitor.

Not mentioned are the non-Notre Dame independents, which at this point is just UConn (but may also include Oregon State and Washington State, depending on what becomes of the Pac-? in two years). The Huskies will collect just $360,000 annually from the CFP, though with what's going on right now it would be no surprise to see them end up in the ACC if there are defections.

Turns out Oregon State and Washington State would each collect $3.6M annually from the CFP if they are not in a conference that pays out more than that.
