There wasn’t much choice if they wanted to do it in October. The only other home game that month is a Friday night against Northwestern, not really ideal for Homecoming. Other than that there was Villanova on Sept 21 or Rutgers on Nov 16.

In some news that initially flew under the radar, Mike Locksley reportedly fired Brian Braswell a few weeks ago. Damian Wroblewski will presumably take over as the full-time offensive line coach, though Brian Ferentz has also been working with that unit a lot this season.
