As hard as road wins are to come by these days, I'll take it. Cool to get their first ever win at Pauley Pavilion too. Had some tough games there in the past.

There is baseball, and occasionally there are other things of note
"Now OPS sucks. Got it."
"Making his own olive brine is peak Mackus."
"I'm too hungover to watch a loss." - McNulty

UMD on the money! But that was one UGLY game to watch, I thought my eyes were going to start bleeding watching that mess! Seriously, that 2nd half for UMD was offensive, sooo bad! What they heck were they doing, those offense sets are garbage! UCLA is bad, but the fouls hurt them the most. Still, Young was The Man on offense, and Scott had another decent game (back to back as a matter of fact)! Free Lamothe!

Good win for Maryland and Young with a terrific performance. I thought Scott was good and really hustled. DHS with some real good spurts and he really worked hard at the end getting some big rebounds.

Reese was awful for the second game in a row. Forget the atrocious free throw shooting, but he has no idea how to split a double team or pass out of the post.
He should also yell at himself to box out, because he did very little of that last night.
Speaking of awful, the refs last night, were a disaster. They damn near fouled every big man on both teams out.

I wonder if the kids playing now, realize how special a place Pauley Pavilion is?

They must understand somewhat. How can you look at all those names on the jerseys hanging from the rafters and not?

I guess but it feels like the history of sports and its importance lessens in todays sports world

Maybe, but that’s a card that older generations have pulled on younger generations since the beginning of time. But in UCLA’s case, some of those names from the past are icons of the sport. It’s why they are still considered one of the blue blood programs, even though their current players weren’t even born the last time they won a title.
