If there were plenty of resources, they would’ve been able to pony up for Andy Enfield, Bruce Pearl, etc. There’s a reason why those guys were never serious candidates, and 99% of it was money.

100%. I remember when we were still in the expanded ACC and thinking, man, it would suck to be Boston College. Completely irrelevant and there for other teams to pad their records. We’re Boston College. It’s brutal. Only going to get worse with the teams which are being added.

Can't find any data for this year, but Willard was the 15th highest paid coach last year. More than Enfield. Not a huge gap between Willard and the next 6 or 7 guys above him.

Obviously Maryland's not paying Self or Calipari money.
