I think it's safe to say now that the AL East is a two-team race.

Yep, the Jays had their chance to get to within 5.5 and the Orioles put an end to that.

Like most slop pitchers, he has to have pin point control and stay out of the middle of the plate. Hopefully, 1980 Steve Stone will possess him tonight.
I don't think Gibson is a slop pitcher. He hits 93-95 pretty consistently. At times I think he uses too many pitches. He really battled last night. We were in section 54 right behind the Jays dugout and I locked in on Gibson and he was into every pitch last night. I could see into the Oriole dugout and he wanted the 8th inning. He was very fired up when he got the last strikeout.
Last night was a big time win for Gibson and the Orioles.

Hold up Tony has 9 of the 58 orioles home runs ever to eutaw street?
Yep, they put on the board that he was second. I am guessing Davis was first, maybe Raffy?

Last night screamed just how good the Orioles are and how good they are with the gloves. The Jays and the group of fans they had behind their dugout were really into the game. The Orioles got great AB's from Santander and Cedric and gritty pitching from Gibson, but the defense carried the night. Mullins is nothing short of great in CF. Urias is a magician at 3rd. We had great seats to watch him and he is so smooth. He had 3 really good plays, that he made look easy. Hays as always stood out in left and Gunnar two really nice plays at SS. This is a total team.

According to this Davis had 11, Luke Scott 6, Raffy 5. Raffy had two in one game, I’m pretty surprised he only had 5.

No substitute for great defense.

Exactly right, and this team has some really good defenders.
We are leaving the game last night and I heard a Jays fan say, "damn Mullins, he runs down everything". He wasn't wrong.
