All on Voth mostly. But since Perez had to come in he also didnt do his job. Nip it in the bud now.

Crazy to knock around Bassitt this much tonight, but hey, take it when you can.

Orioles seem to just have trouble cleaning up the easy ones late, but it's a good win.

Hyde stacked the lineup with lefties tonight. Bassitt no likey.

And the O's have a problem with their lesser BP arms. They're not just mop-up guys. They're straight up liabilities.

Considering Givins and Tate are not going to answer the call this year (successfully), you remedy this by having a spot starter as a long arm, and a failed starter as a mid-relief guy. It'd be nice if Grayson pushed the envelope, but the answer is likely outside the organization.

Rough outing for the bullpen last night but hey, the Blue Jays have some good hitters.  Most importantly, the Orioles bats are finally waking up after a month of struggling and it's probably not a coincidence that Henderson getting hot has a lot to do with it.  Hitting is usually contagious, whether good or bad.  Grab the win tonight and take another series.

For sure the BP crapped last night. But the defense did not help them at all and Perez especially. He can't walk lefties but other than that he wasn't that awful.

How do you fall down fielding  a ground ball?

How does Frazier not turn 2?

Those little things didn't matter .....last night. In a close game that's a death sentence.

Last night was a good night to be there.  The crowd was not big but it was involved in the game and loud.

Voth was not good and Perez made it worse but stressing over that, takes away all the good that happened.  Gunnar is on a major hot streak.  His power is impressive.  I did not think he got it all on the grand slam but it went 400 feet.  I thought Kiermaier was going to catch it.

O'Hearn may turn out to be this team's Steve Pearce.  He plays a good first base and has some pop.

Hicks keeps producing.  Maybe getting out of New York, was the boost he needed.  When Cedric gets back, I think McKenna is going to get time at the beach.

I am enjoying going out to the ballpark again.

If the organization was going to close down part of the upper deck, why not do the RF side vs LF side? I'm sure they ran a report based on ticket sales and determined it was a way to save money but it looks awful on TV. Optics matter. But to your point, the crowd was into it and, LF upper deck aside, it looked like a good crowd; particularly for a Tuesday.

McKenna can't possibly survive when Mullins returns. Hicks is a far better 4th OFer at this point. Now, his hot start with us may just be fool's gold or perhaps we fixed something. Either way, any opportunity we have to upgrade the 26 man roster, we should take it.

I don't understand closing the LF seats. They're good seats. Especially close to the railing. You get a direct line of vision to all the action. But I don't understand a lot of things they've done at the stadium since I started going back.

I never had friends later on like the ones I had when I was twelve. Jesus, does anyone?

I suspect the issue with the left field upper deck may in part not being able to staff ushers, concessions etc. for those areas.  I haven't checked but I am guessing there were around 15 K there.    It was a noisy crowd though.

As for the roster, I still do not feel like they are committed to put their best 26 on the field.  Lester has had a few nice moments, but they have better in Norfolk, but the real head scratcher was last nights blockbuster move.  Mark Kolozsvary replacing Mountcastle.  Kolozvary was hitting a robust .172 at AAA so he at least earned it.  Come on, please get as much talent on the major league roster as possible.  The Orioles are good, let's do all we can to maximize this season.

Presumably Kolozsvary was on the taxi squad and already with the team. Hyde said after 4pm that Mountcastle was much better and would be available so it was really a last minute decision. Hopefully someone else will be up instead soon.

ETA: Ortiz is up to replace Kolozsvary.

Ok, that makes sense.

The fact that they DFA'd a player to put Kolosvary up for one game is still strange.

We are at 39 now, I wonder who gets the open spot and when.
