It won’t change anything. House money at this point for me. This wasn’t supposed to happen this year.
Totally fair and I get it but lets see how much love there is after the Oh St and Penn St games

Reese scores and is fouled. Up 16 going to the line. 4 minutes left.

I mean the Big Ten predictions were low, but it's not shocking that they are a Tournament team, and a back-end Top 25 team.
But yep, very enjoyable. And when they were 2-4, I thought it was possible they could get to the dance, but unlikely. So it is very fun to see this run.

20-9, 11-7 in the Big Ten. Should be back in the Top 25.

I think it is. Maybe shocking too big a word, but KW had next to no time to augment and still coached them up. The arc of improvement as the year has gone on too, as you alluded to.

Yeah, maybe not shocking but they were thought to be a bubble team in a best case scenario. No one expected them to go undefeated at home in conference play or have a shot at a double-bye in the BTT.

Agree completely. Not quite shocking but they're much better than I expected them to be.

Undefeated at home or a double-bye? No, didn't think that. But did say they could be a Top 25 team, and make the dance. My biggest questions were would Young and Carey be the equal of Fatts, and Ayala? How big a leap for Reese in Year 2? Frontcourt depth was limited, could they get past that? Thought Martinez and Emilien could give you useful reserves... thought they needed 1 or 2 other guys (figured Cornish) to step-up and give you useable minutes. Long has somewhat.
Don't deserve any credit though because at 2-4, I thought it would be a grind to get to 10 wins in-conference, and didn't expect them to dance.
Right now, their tied for 2nd overall in the Big Ten, and they have wins over the #1 Purdue, other 2nd place teams (NW, Indiana), #5 Illinois, #6 Michigan, #7 Iowa.
Go win the road games this week.

If they shoot well they can make the E8. Im not talking insane shooting or out of their mind shooting. Just shoot "well".

Kevin Willard is the first Maryland head coach to ever win 20 games in his first season.
After this game, he sped up to Catonsville to attend the MIAA-A Championship Game between St. Frances Academy and Mount St. Joseph at UMBC. He never stops recruiting.
