According to multiple sources (whatever that means), the Bears are trading the No. 1 overall pick to Carolina for a "massive haul."

 

Per Adam Schefter, the Bears will receive pick Nos. 9 and 61 for 2023 from the Panthers, as well as first-rounder in 2024, a second-rounder in 2025, plus DJ Moore. 

 

If this all proves to be accurate, I don't Lamar will be on Carolina's speed dial.

If one of Young, Stroud, Levis or Richardson are worth that much of a haul, why wouldn’t Lamar be? Granted, rookie contracts certainly provide significant surplus value, especially at the QB position. So I guess that really would be a major factor, still. You just have to do better than merely 2 firsts for Lamar.
