There is baseball, and occasionally there are other things of note
"Now OPS sucks. Got it."
"Making his own olive brine is peak Mackus."
"I'm too hungover to watch a loss." - McNulty

Should FAU and Miami advance to the final, it would mark the first in-state championship game since 1962 when Cincinnati beat Ohio State for the second consecutive year.

I don't get why FAU called timeout when they had the ball in Greenlea's hands at the top of the key with 12 seconds (17 game) on the shot clock.

They’re such a well-rounded team. Good ball-handlers, outside shooting, and a big guy who can do basically anything on the court. Not to mention lock-down defense.
Is UConn going to win their 5th title since 99?

And they have a backup C that will one day be a lottery pick.

Kenpom wins again. Had them real high in their rankings even when they slumped badly. I think the 9th or 10th year in a row that a top 20 offense and top 20 defense has won the title. Only 4 teams entered the tourny both this year. Hou, Bama, Texas, and UConn

I can't help but wonder if Dutcher told his team at halftime to play physical to the point that UConn would wind up in the bonus (even at 12 min left in the 2nd half). I mean, given the fact UConn has so many ways to beat you, why not whittle it down to one? If you think about it, if UConn shot 50% from the charity stripe in the 2nd half, this game is a hell of a lot closer, and the potential for which team goes on a run swings to SDSU. Of course, UConn shot 87.5% from the stripe tonight...
ETA: UConn was 15-16 after the 8 minute mark in the 2nd half where they went into the bonus.
Eh. It's just a thought. But SDSU was not beating this team tonight without throwing them off their rhythm. They did thrown them off their rhythm, and it wasn't enough.

Definitely think it's important to remember just how down this UConn program was at the end of the Kevin Ollie era. Team was rotting away of irrelevance in the AAC and none of their recruits had every heard of the other teams in that conference they were playing every night. The move back to the Big East, is one that changed everything and will put the Huskies back on the map for good as one of the best programs in the country. Shoutout to Dan Hurley.
