That was a nice adjustment from Manning.

Danny Manning is coaching his ass off tonight. Very impressive.

The pace is way too fast and Murray is unconscious

Perkins is killing Maryland.   The Terps are going to have to slow them down again.

Maryland down 1 at the under 8.  Terps getting a number of fouls in the last few minutes.

Iowa is playing very physical but not getting any fouls… Maryland down 7 at the under 4.

Maryland plays great defense with the game on the line and forces an airball with 2 seconds on the shot clock... and somehow Iowa scores anyway.  Tough break.

Maryland played pretty well.  They battled the whole game, just got beat by a real good player going off.

Is anyone familiar with Manning's time in Wake?  Did he have problems recruiting?  Was he not so great at developing players?  Did he not have good game schemes?  I think Turgeon should get a lot of credit for recruiting and developing the players up to this point but it feels like Manning has been able to coach a much better offensive rhythm than Turgeon ever could.  When you flop as hard as he did at Wake, we should rightly be skeptical of his performance right now, but maybe Turgeon taught him what he needed to cover his weak areas.

Yeah, I’m not even going to entertain Manning as an option.

As for the game, Reese with 4 fouls in 13 minutes. He’s my favorite Terp by far, but needs to clean that up so he can be more available.

I thought Reese got physically pushed around last night.  He seemed to be out of position quite a bit.

Conversely, I thought Wahab did well.  He more than held his own inside.  He needs to remember to keep the ball up on rebounds, but he played well last night.

Like most I do not want to see them take the interim tag off of Manning, but the Terps do seem to be running better offense.  Even last night, when it seemed Iowa was using different zones at the end of the game, the Terps were able to get good shots.  They missed them, but for the most part they were getting good looks.

I agree the team looks better under Manning, but I'd look at the bigger picture a bit differently.  If even Danny Manning with no preparation can instantly make the team look better than boy did we ever need to get rid of Turgeon.

They still lost to Iowa. Shows how hopeless we have become under Turgeon, where we’re looking for silver linings after losing to Iowa. Maryland basketball should be permanently better than Iowa.
