The game in the paint, and assertiveness- I haven't seen that at all until just now. Unless I'm misremembering. I always knew the talent was there, I didn't know this was there though.
No, I think you are right about the assertiveness. That's the difference over these last x amount of games.

I think so.
I think for MD to be sweating it out...they would have to go 1-2 and lose first BTT game (if played).

There have been a couple games where I thought it was more bad offense by the opponents, but today was an absolute gem defensively. Everything was contested. Terrific work.
Rutgers finished with 38.2% on FGs and 22.7% on threes, wonderful work on defense

I think Maryland has been a good defensive team all year. They play way too many good teams for it to be a fluke. Both Michigan games were a struggle but they consistently defended in most every other game.

Agreed, it's not a fluke. But even with that a couple games have stuck out as having had their opponent help them quite a bit. Today was definitely not one of those games.
I think Maryland has been a good defensive team all year. They play way too many good teams for it to be a fluke. Both Michigan games were a struggle but they consistently defended in most every other game.

Great win. I think if they go 2-1 down the stretch, frankly it would be shocking if they didn't get in. Wouldn't quite call them a lock but they would have no business not getting an invite if that happens. Honestly I think they're pretty safe even if they go 1-2 after this win today, but it would certainly be more dicey
